NORTH BRUNSWICK — The late LaBebe Hage-Boutros was known for her love of cooking good food for good company.

“Her unbelievable food always brought the family together,” Tony Hage-Boutros said of his grandmother. “That’s how she showed her love to each and every one of us.”

To pay tribute to LaBebe Hage-Boutros, who was 84 when she died in 2004, her son Pierre and grandson Tony have opened Labebe, a restaurant offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The restaurant is located at 2150 Route 130 in North Brunswick.

To understand what Labebe has to offer, Tony said one has to look at its namesake.

LaBebe Hage-Boutros lived in the village of Jouar el Haouz, Lebanon.
